THE first of 10 people arrested following a £5 million raid in Radcliffe has appeared before magistrates.
Police swooped after a six-month investigation, code-named Operation Torch, which involved undercover surveillance.
At the court in Bury, Paul Bell, aged 36, of Hardcastle Gardens, Bradshaw, Bolton, made a short appearance when he was formally charged with two matters of conspiring with others to supply a Class A controlled drug. There are also two allegations of conspiring to supply Class B controlled drugs.
Bell was remanded in custody until Monday in order for his case to be tied up with his co-accused.
