I HAVE read the customer charter on the new BWFC website and would like a bit of help, as far as I could see it made no reference to the following.
'We at Bolton Wanderers will make every effort to rip out any history that we have had, we will replace the club badge with stupid ribbons, take out the red rose without consulting anyone. After all, the fans are stupid, fickle and will accept any change we feel like putting in. Our new corporate image is more important than a badge nearly 30 years old and the fans will grow to love the new ribbons and throw away all of their old merchandise and may even chop off the arms that have the nasty old tattoos on them.'
They take no interest in what the fans say, the BWFC logo is not the best in the world (nor is the team) but it is MY badge, MY honour, it's that pride that keeps BWFC going, not some corporate idiot who thinks replacing the Lancashire rose with red and blue childish scribble.
What does that scribble signify - the club's balance sheet? I say either return to our badge or have a vote on a completley new badge, hopefully a return to the badge from the 50s. I hope any fan who feels the same writes, e-mails or telephones the club to get it put right.
