I HAVE just read the views of D Fearnley (Your Views: April 23). The writer is absolutely accurate and correct in everything said.
Daisy Hill is indeed fast becoming a gridlocked traffic nightmare. The response to the situation from some quarters is simply to build more roads, to accomodate the increased volumes of traffic.
Little or no regard appears to be paid towards the cause of the problem. We are not surprised that certain people want the A5225 to be built, even though we have been told "it is dead in the water".
Our association (EFRA), has been campaigning for several months now to prevent the extension of Hartford Road, in Daisy Hill.
