A FEW weeks ago Mrs Christine Adams attempted to draw attention to the work of Dr Iddon in his support for legislation of drugs etc. and other actions, which I class as low-life.

I gave her my strongest support, as such behaviour does nothing to uphold dignity and good manners once used to effect by the English race.

However, since Mrs Adams' letter, I have read the evening paper, page one -- pictures of brutal attacks on pensioners or ransom attacks putting lives in danger. Pages two and five -- muggers and handbag snatching, plus court reports of these same felons' appearances in court being given trivial sentences for their crimes.

Having made that summary, may I ask why the five MPs -- three for Bolton and two for Bury -- never offer one word against these people. Is it because they may lose votes as this category forms a good proportion of their electors?

The sooner the Conservatives are returned to Westminster the better for this country, when it will be ruled by a government who will make decisions and stick to them, unlike this "yo yo" government who are now becoming known as the "TB plague". Unfortunately, one who considers such symptoms are fashionable.
