POSTMEN were today coping with thousands of extra letters as householders posted their census forms.
Residents across the borough sat down yesterday to fill in the 20-page form.
Many of those have already been popped in the mail and postmen have been working around the clock to prevent bulging post boxes.
The form has to be filled in by law -- there is a risk of a £1,000 fine for anyone who does not.
A cut off point of May 9 has been given by the Census Office.
