BOLTON Women's Festival has taken the plunge again.
The annual event kicked off with a group of women taking to the water at Moses Gate Country Park in their kayaks.
They started by learning to get in and out of the wobbly boats and taught how to paddle in a straight line.
Experts say mastering the technique of canoeing gives a great sense of achievement.
For the next two weeks, there will be daily sporting activities-- mostly free -- for women, regardless of experience or fitness.
Tomorrow, circuit training is on the programme at Bolton Institute Sports Centre on Deane Road, from 6.30 until 7.30pm.
