THOUSANDS of people attended a three-day fashion, health and beauty exhibition in Victoria Square.
Organisers hailed the event a success with an estimated 6,000 people walking through the doors of a marquee in the town centre.
Shoppers flocked to the tent to watch one of seven fashion shows on each of the three days from Friday until yesterday.
The event proved so popular that a similar exhibition will be set up in the town at Easter.
Cathy Savage, one of the organisers, said: "I was really pleased at the number of people we managed to attract.
"The aim of the exercise was to bring people into the town and encourage them to shop here.
"I think we more than achieved that aim."
A House, Home and Lifestyle Exhibition -- which will be based in the marquee -- has been planned for September.
