A FORGOTTEN sign on a lamppost is causing confusion for Bolton's motorists, it has been claimed.
The sign remains stuck on a lamppost facing the Thynne Street roundabout. It was left behind after Granada television filmed a new series of hospital drama A&E last week.
The sign directs motorists to "A&E" -- not the Royal Bolton Hospital's Accident and Emergency unit, but the filming site for a camera crew near Manchester Road.
Some motorists have contacted the BEN to complain the sign is causing them confusion -- after following it in search of the Royal Bolton Hospital and ending up in Manchester Road.
Today a spokesman for Granada television, which filmed a episode of the new drama on April 20, apologised to residents.
The spokesman said: "We are sorry if this has caused any confusion and in the spirit of community co-operation we would like someone to take it down from the lampost."
