ROBIN Cook's comments regarding the British national dish as more likely to be a curry these days, was intended to illustrate how multi-cultural and 'integrated' a society we have become.
As analogies go, the curry one is quite apt, as I believe curry was originally used to deceive the palette, thus allowing unpalatable meat to be fed to the masses. Britain today. Quite so!
