A BOLTON fishmonger has proudly been displaying a whopper of a catch at his market stall.
Paul MacDonald, who works for Hayton's, on Bolton Market, has been selling a Halibut an astonishing...eight foot long.
The fish was caught in Norway and snapped up by the fish merchant in Fleetwood for £1,000.
It was believed to be 75-years-old and weighed an incredible 325lb. Half of it was sold to the Spanish restaurant, Conquistador, on St George's Road.
Mr MacDonald said: "I'm always looking out for unusual fish to sell and this one was certainly a big one.
"They called me Fleetwood Mac at work because I tend to spend most of my time in the town."
