THE only competitors riding in club colours over the previous week have been the growing ranks of the veterans section.
In a 25 mile event based on a 2 lap course around the back roads of Garstang on Wednesday afternoon the 'lads' managed once again to win the team prize. The quickest LRC rider was Frank Kerry whose 1:2:20 seems to indicate a return to form. Pete Walkington produced a ride of 1:4:48 but admitted that he had blown up in the later stages. The other members of the winning team were Colin Greenhalgh 1:5:29, Ian Ainsworth 1:6:46, John Partington 1:10:33 & Alex Munro 1:10:34
Club runs will continue throughout the summer months with the riders meeting at the Royal Oak, Bradshaw at 9:00 on Sunday mornings. The ride on May 6th will be to Glasson Dock Anyone wishing to join the club run should turn up on the day with a road bike (and spare inner tube - just in case!) you will be made very welcome.
