FOUR young schoolgirls called the police after Mark Garrick exposed himself in front of them.
A court at Bury heard that the youngsters, all aged between 11 and 13, had been making their way along Teak Street, Bury, when they were confronted by Garrick.
Prosecuting, Mr Jonathan Savage, described how as well as exposing himself, Garrick was gesturing at the girls to come closer. However, they managed to pass by him safely and then alerted the police. A short time later Garrick, aged 41, of no fixed abode, was stopped by an officer. In court he pleaded guilty to committing an act of gross indecency.
The magistrates heard how Garrick had previous convictions for similar matters which last year resulted in him being sent to prison for three months.
The court sentenced him to six months imprisonment. He was also put on the Sex Offenders' Register for a period of seven years.
