RIVINGTON music Society's Spring Festival, 2001, takes place on the weekend of May 11 to13.
It starts on the Friday, 7.30pm, at Rivington Parish Church with Dragonsfire, featuring musicians in costume playing music from the Middle Ages through to present day. Tickets, including after concert dinner, are £25, or £6 for concert only.
On the Saturday, 1.30pm, there is a Village Green Afternoon. This will feature Rivington and Adlington Brass Band, Morris Dancers, stalls, teas and Punch and Judy. Later, 8pm, there is an evening with Judge Michael Lever QC. Tickets are £8 including wine and biscuits.
On the Sunday, 10.45am, there will be a service at Rivington Parish Church with preacher the Rev Dr John Findon, Rector of Bury. Tickets from Isabella Leigh-Bramwell on 694913 or Peter Tonge 01257 262958.
