TRADITIONAL May Day activities take place at Hall i' th' Wood on Bank Holiday Monday.
Among them will be willow weaving and the chance to join in the ancient May ritual of creating a Green Man, a living sculpture which will later be planted in the grounds.
Traditional dance will come from the Rivington Morris dancers and the children of St Columba's RC School, complete with May Pole.
The surroundings could not be more perfect than the Hall 'i th' Wood traditional 15th Century manor house, home of Samuel Crompton.
And to celebrate the start of the summer season admission prices have been reduced to £2 adults and £1 concessions.
