BOLTON Ladies Hockey Team can look back on a very successful season in the Manchester Womens' League.
The Ladies embarked on an unbeaten run in November last year, which was to last for the rest of the season, and which propelled them into top spot. Along the way they achieved notable wins against teams who had greater numbers of players to call upon.
Club Captain Louise Heaney is thrilled with the team's success, and recently paid tribute to the squad of players who have all shown great commitment this season, saying: "The team has virtually run itself this year, and this season represents a big achievement for a small club like ours."
Heaney also recognised the contribution made by sponsors Adam F Greenalgh, and would like to publicly thank them.
In addition the club has welcomed new players to the team, and they have played a big part in the club's success this season, and of course the existing players must also be congratulated on their role.
Only one team can now deny Bolton the title, with the matter hinging on their final match of the season, but Bolton are assured of at least runners-up spot whatever happens, which represents their finest league placing ever.
