A FACTORY boss is considering moving his premises after a blaze ripped through it.
Gary Dalton, director of G Dalton Engineering, on Gooch Street, Horwich, vowed to get his company up and running as soon as possible.
But with water-logging and no roof, he admitted he may have to find alternative premises.
More than 35 firefighters battled to contain a fire at the factory yesterday, thought to have started when a resin machine overheated.
One fireman burned his ears in the intense heat and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital for treatment.
Firefighters also tried to prevent a burst hose from pouring water into Chorley New Road.
Gooch Street was sealed off for more than two hours.
None of the company's 10 employees were hurt.
Mr Dalton, whose business has been in Horwich for 17 years, said: "There's a lot of water and smoke damage.
"I've got a duty to my staff and customers to get things back to normal as soon as possible."
The company makes steel components and is based in a former railway canteen owned by Bolton businessman Kevan Boardman.
Residents of terraced houses opposite the factory were allowed to remain inside.
