AT last Cllr Peter Johnston has come clean -- public transport is for the rest of us while he drives his car, despite his address being adjacent to a bus route and his nearest railhead less than 1 miles from home.
And just where does one park up near Trinity Street unless one has a councillor's free place?
Luckily, I do not join the rush hour any more or commute. But those who do tell me that reading a paper and snoozing are not options in rush hour trains -- maybe the councillor travels off peak?
I will promise the councillor that, on the day that every councillor, council official, PM, Ministers and MPs announce that they have disposed of their cars and will use only public transport, I will do the same.
