SINGERS are urgently needed for an afternoon's singing at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester on Saturday, May 19.
The event's organisers hope to fill the auditorium with singers of all abilities and the only qualification needed is enthusiasm.
The day is a celebration of amateur music-making and will be the culmination of activities from the Music Experience, a three-year development programme, run by Making Music and supported by BT and the National Lottery, through the Arts Council of England.
Activities begin 12.30pm and the Come and Sing session follows at 3pm.
Tickets for the session are free, and available from the Bridgewater Hall Box Office on 0161 907 9000.
However, the main event of the day is a concert, from 7.30pm, featuring groups from across the North West performing a mixed programme of English music.
This will include Bolton Choral Union.
Tickets for the concert are from £6.50 to £15 and from 0161 907 9000.
