AFTER reading the letter in the Bolton Evening News about bringing some discipline and pride back into Bolton, I think we have a long way to go before that happens.
What about the rubbish that is all round the town centre, and bins not being used.
Last week I went to the Royal Bolton Hospital. On the car park near the Maternity Department I saw a rubbish bin that was in the shape of a frog. It drew my attention and I pointed it out, and said we could do with some of those around the town, it would draw the children and maybe the grown-ups attention.
The bins near the Town Hall look so cold and drab. I thought the frog looked really good, and I am a pensioner.
I saw a young boy of about 10 running over the daffodil bed. Even at that age he knows right from wrong. I don't suppose the mother would be laughing if someone trashed her garden.
It is no wonder the town is in such a state, but I think the council have a lot to answer for.
