TWO men accused of racially aggravated offences have appeared before magistrates in Bury.
Christopher Garside, aged 24, from Bury Old Road, Heywood and John Farrelly, also 24, from Sutherland Road, Heywood, were both charged following an incident which is said to have occurred on The Rock in Bury during April of this year.
The pair are both charged with assaulting Fazal Hussain Tahir, occasioning actual bodily harm and to causing £200 worth of damage to two car doors belonging to Moorside Taxi company. In addition, the court was told that both matters were said to be racially aggravated. The case was adjourned until May 18.
Conditional bail was granted.
