THE two Bolton Association clubs to suffer ground problems could play a game of cricket tomorrow.
Lostock should have played two weeks ago when the new season made a prompt start but were forced to cancel that because of a problem damp area close to the square.
That has now been repaired and providing the drier weather continues they should be able to start against a Clifton side resigned to playing the first games of the season away from home.
Their ground is unfit following delays to drainage repairs but early forcecasts suggest that it could be back in action by the end of June.
Champions Walshaw, who missed out on the only weekend of cricket able to be played this season because it was their rest day, will be looking to open their account when they entertain Daisy Hill while on Sunday they take on Darcy Lever and their new pro Yasir Bashir.
Atherton made a good start with an opening day win over Standish and their new pro Greg Dimery will relish tomorrow's game when he faces his old club Elton.
