THE library in Prestwich will be part of the fun as the town's Longfield Precinct stages its May Day celebrations.
To tie in with events over the Bank Holiday weekend, staff at the local library have put together a varied programme for Saturday.
From 9am to 1pm there will be a sale of withdrawn library books; at 11am: "Shaggy Dog Storyteller" -- an hour of inter-active storytelling for children aged four to 12 years. Admission is free.
Also, from 9am to 1pm there will be a "A Celebration of Prestwich", a display of local photographs; and from 9am-1pm: "What's happening in the Library" to find out what events and activities have been held in the library over the past year.
Included are photos and information covering everything from children's storytimes to pyjama parties, authors' visits, Internet learning and competition prize winners. THE library in Prestwich will be part of the fun as the town's Longfield Precinct stages its May Day celebrations.
