A PENSIONER was seriously injured in an accident at Hunger Hill today.
The 69-year-old woman was in collision with a silver Peugeot car as she attempted to cross Wigan Road close to the Three Pigeons pub.
She suffered severe head injuries and was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where she was understood to be in a serious condition.
The hospital was put on standby before she arrived and a rapid response paramedic team was first at the scene.
