OLDER people are being given a chance next week to find out more about how health services are being improved for them.
To link in with the introduction of the National Service Framework (NSF), which aims to set out national standards of care for older people, social services staff in Bury have linked up with Age Concern to stage a one day event on Wednesday.
Older people and those who care for them are invited along to the Jubilee Centre off Mosley Avenue, Bury, to find out more with a special presentation on the NSF, followed by a question and answer session.
Later there will be a series of taster sessions focused on a range of subjects from exercise to healthy eating.
Places are limited at next week's meeting. Those interested in attending should contact either Beryl Pilkington on 0161 763 9030 or Irene Sargeant on 0161 253 5431.
