"NO valley too deep, no mountain too high" could be a Bolton teenager's slogan after he cycled the length of the Pyrenees mountain range in just five days.
Mark Flitcroft, aged 16, and his dad Dave, from Astley Bridge, pedalled the 440 miles route from the Atlantic coast to the Mediterranean last month -- for a holiday!
And now they are planning another mountain trip, this time across the Alps.
The pair had to cycle through the mountains -- which divide France from Spain -- in less than 100 hours as part of a cycling tour arranged by a British travel agent.
Mark was still aged 15 when he took part in the challenge and is believed to be the youngest British rider to ever complete it.
The youngster, from Hill Cot Road, said: "It was really hard work but not too hard and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
"The best bits were the descents down the mountains when we were doing 40 to 50 mph."
But Mark said he was not sure whether he wanted to cycle professionally in the future, adding: "I've no plans plans to enter the Tour de France just yet."
