THERE is to be a reunion of all past pupils who attended Colliers Row Road Junior School on Saturday, July 21, followed by lunch at Smithills Coaching House.
More than 50 people have already booked, but the group would love to hear from past pupils or if you know someone who attended the school.
The group are keen to contact Diane Slater, Annette Slater, Margaret Waldron and John Burrows, who is believed to be a vet in Bolton. Musical memories SMITHILLS Townswomen's Guild is staging an Evening of Musical Memories next Thursday which will include supper. Cost is £2. The following week there is a Guild Open Evening and, on Thursday, July 26, the Social Studies Group is organising a Mystery Trip. Further details of all evenings are available by ringing 597192. Young players, please ASTLEY Bridge Junior Football Club, which meets off Stapleton Avenue, is on the lookout for new players for the under-8s and under-9s teams. Contact Bernard Toland, 400270, for the under-8s team, or Phil Isherwood, 406937, for the under-9s. Sunday series starts ST Peter's Church, Halliwell, is holding another of its Sunday at 7 series. This weekend's meeting will be in St Peter's Parish Centre, Church Road, starting at 7pm. The title of the evening is "Humankind -- Endangered Species". Further details available on 407202.
