TOP TV funnyman Peter Kay proved he was a class act when the went back to school to open a summer fair.
The Bolton comedian was celebrity guest for the day and swung open the gates as the annual event his old school St Ethelbert's, Deane, got underway.
Peter said he had managed to keep in touch with the school thanks to his nephews Adam and Alex Howard who are pupils at the Melbourne Road primary.
"I've been back to watch them in plays at the school and I came in to one of their assemblies last week," he said.
"But this is the first time they've ever asked me to do anything like this."
Peter was joined at St Ethelbert's by dozens of people who came to enjoy the RJ's Majorettes, mobile bowling, beat the keeper competitions, the coconut shy, tombola and various stalls and refreshments.
