BRAZIL won the Nationwide U17 international tournament courtesy of a comfortable 2-0 victory over England at the Reebok Stadium.
Following on from their comprehensive 3-0 win over Italy at the JJB Stadium on Friday, the Brazilians were too flamboyant for unlucky England.
Although the South-Americans raced into a two-goal lead courtesy of strikes through Leo and man of the match Rodolfo, they only kept a clean sheet through sheer luck and a sublime save from Vitor.
Newcastle United's Lewis Guy saw his header hit the cross-bar after a great cross from Man City's Lee Croft and a missed penalty from Scott Brown denied the host nation a deserved consolation.
The Everton midfielder saw his spot-kick spectacularly saved by Vitor's diving frame.
Nicky Eyre in the England goal was in good form and kept the score-line within touching distance with a number of good saves while Charlton's Osei Sankofa was impressive in the heart of the defence.
However, the boys from Brazil hung on to claim the trophy to the scintillating sound of a local samba band.
