THE Chorley Citizen is giving two lucky readers the super opportunity to mingle with the stars!
For the winning pair in our latest exciting competition will get the chance meet the two celebrities at this month's Adlington Carnival.
That means you could be chatting with Emmerdale's Scott and Coronation Street's Tyrone who have both been signed up to the popular show taking place on Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19.
Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, comes from Manchester and was in Children's Ward before joining the Street.
He will be in the main arena at 3.15pm on the Saturday to meet and greet the crowds.
Scott, played by Ben Freeman, will be there on the Sunday at 3.15pm.
Windsor-born Ben played his first TV role as Chris Longworth in Grange Hill for 30 months then moved straight to hit ITV soap Emmerdale.
For the chance to meet Alan and Ben, just answer this simple question:
From which city does Alan come?
Send your answers on a postcard or sealed-down envelope to Carnival Competition, Chorley Citizen, 45-47 Pall Mall, Chorley PR7 3LT.
Please include your name and address and daytime telephone number.
But be quick! The closing date is Friday, August 17, and the two winners, picked out at random, will be notified by The Citizen that very day.
Meanwhile, organisers have reaffirmed the desperate cash plight of the carnival -- warning that it really could be over in the near future if more support is not forthcoming.
Carnival press officer Colin Prescott revealed: "We have had to use our financial reserves and unless we get a lot of people through it is going to be difficult to have a carnival next year. It's quite a few thousand pounds and it's the first time we've had to dip into the reserve to this extent."
He added: "It is worrying because it has left us absolutely nothing to organise next year's carnival with.
"The carnival costs up to £50,000 and a lot of the money doesn't come in until the end, but we've had to pay up front for lots of things, so we have to start the year off with £10,000 to £20,000 working capital."
But despite the financial worries show bosses are eagerly looking forward to a fun-filled weekend.
Attractions range from classic car displays and carnival queens to five-a-side football and baby show -- with so much more in between!
