HOLIDAYS and injuries took a toll on Chorley Athletic Club's mens squad in the last of the Northern Mens Track and Field Div 2 meeting at Bebington.
Andrew Moir twisted his knee in the long jump and John Blackledge received a thigh injury in the 400m hurdles reducing the team to nine.
Young runner Brett Kenyon making his debut in the 400m and 200m recorded two personal bests. PBs also fell to Mark Jenner in the 400m and James Roden in the 400m hurdles who also equalised his PB in the 110m hurdles and was the club's only outright winner with the best leap of the day in the high jump. Middle distance men Carl Holding and Andrew Brindle had an excellent 1500 race crossing the line third and second respectively. Philip Livesey took joint first in the high jump and fifth in the triple jump.
