BOLTON railway station is to receive new bus signs as part of an initiative to take local transport integration for Manchester a step further.
The new signs, erected by First Manchester and First North Western are being placed at railway stations across the region.
It is hoped they will help customers leaving the train find the bus stops they need outside the rail stations in order to make the connections to complete their journey.
First Manchester divisional commercial director, Russell Gard said, "Everyone agrees that as part of the aim to attract more car users onto public transport, the journey experience has to be made as easy as possible. These new signs will ensure that customers leaving the train can go straight to the bus stop they need and so speed their journey."
First North Western customer services manager, Martin MacKenzie said: "We are very pleased to be able to work with our colleagues at First Manchester and hope that customers will benefit greatly from this joint initiative."
