Horwich RMI HORWICH RMI Harrier Jason Hodgson gained a terrific victory at the last Chorley Four Mile Road Race in this year's series of four.
He showed tremendous speed as he recorded a sub 10 minute time. His fell running opportunities have been limited this year, but he has indeed shown he has what it takes to win top races on the road.
Team-mate Albert Sunter was the next Harrier home, and again showed he is in fine form.
Horwich ladies were led home by Gaynor Higson, who was also an excellent second overall lady for the series. Christine Sweatman ran well to finish second L45, as did Judith Heale who recorded 34.19 and finished third L50.
In the final match of this season's McDonald's Girls Young Athletes League NW Division One, at Warrington's Victoria Park track, Horwich's up and coming girls had to settle for third place in the division, just missing out on the runners up spot by a mere five points.
The team put up a tremendous performance, despite the absence of some of their top performers, to finish the day in a very close fourth place and third in the league.
