WINTER Season 2001/2002 registration forms (the 28th year), are still available for the Bolton Darts League in aid of the Bolton Senior Gateway Club for Mentally Handicapped Adults.
The League is looking for men's teams from any clubs, only in Bolton, to form their own section. County players will not be allowed to play in this section. The rules will be as usual -- men played 15 legs 501, individual throwing, five-a-side, seven points to play for every match, plus an individual table for this section, two points each winner and aggregate will count.
The normal section for men will still be formed with the same rules as above. The League subscriptions for the season remain at £60. Entries for either section can be made up to August 31. Will teams please state on their registration forms which section they are entering, club or normal, and send to Mr Brian Holden, 25 Delamere Gardens, Halliwell, Bolton, BL1 8AU.
If any players are interested, the ladies and men's winter format will take place once again at the Moonlight Club, St George's Road, on Thursday and Friday evenings. They will play for themselves in sections of 10 or more players. Games will be 501 playing all three legs, two points each winner and aggregate to count.
Ladies throwing distance is seven feet, and the men's seven feet nine and a quarter inches. Four cup competitions will be run throughout the season -- Individuals, Round The Board, Pairs, and Mixed Pairs. Regular players and any other players are welcome to play in this format. Every lady and man player will receive a prize at the end of the season.
Also, a winter season format for ladies and men will take place at the RAOB Club, Derby Street, on Friday night. They will play for themselves throughout the season. Games will be 5-1 playing all three legs, two points for each winner and aggregate to count. Any players interested in playing in this event should contact Cliff and Pat Boardman on 366091. Also they can enter by putting their names on a list at the RAOB Club.

The Gary Holden Memorial Shield was won by Natu Mistry. Six personal awards were given from the Secretary of the League to Eva Holden, Dawn Lowe, Mabel Macari, Pat Boardman, Mavis Naylor and Cliff.
