BOLTON Intermediate Inter League team went down in a close game at Bury.
Bury batted first and scored 87 runs. Bolton got off to a poor start when they batted, but Emma Holt 21 runs, Kelly Rudd 14 runs and Louise Smethurst 11 runs, helped to stage a recovery, although Bolton were dismissed for 76.
Bury were then dismissed for 81, leaving Bolton requiring 93 runs for victory. But they got off to a poor start, but the last four batters Claire Russell 10 runs along with Vicky Boak, Justine Robinson 19 runs and Keeley Smethurst 21 runs gave the Bolton team a real chance. Sadly they were dismissed for 87 runs leaving Bury victors by 168-163 to leave Bolton 4-3 up in the eight match series.
