A PENSIONER was injured when his car spun off the road and collided with a fence and an oncoming car.
Lesley Calderbank, aged 68, was driving along Victoria Road, near its junction with Stapleton Avenue, Markland Hill, at 3pm yesterday when the accident happened
His car hit a fence before it collided with a V-reg Renault Clio, driven by Ernest Taylor.
Mr Calderbank, of Milverton Close, Lostock, and his wife Valerie, who was a front seat passenger, were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with minor injuries.
Mr Taylor, aged 54, of Longfield Road, Daubhill, was also taken to the accident and emergency department to be treated for whiplash injuries.
