PROTECTING our children comes in many forms.
And, for parents of older children who have become victims of the awful Sudden Adult Death Syndrome, testing of a family's other children could be a life-saver.
However, such screening -- to reassure both children and parents -- is not easily available. Bolton mother Nicola Ewins had to travel to London to have her two year-old son tested for the potentially lethal heart condition.
We join her in calling for this service to be made available locally to affected families. To do less is cruel and unnecessary.
