REGARDING the plight of the swans on the River Irwell at Ringley.
I don't accept the cause of the pollution as being oil washed off the roads by rain, if that is the case, why isn't it there now after the heavy rain of the last few days?
Each time it has occurred, which is quite often, we have phoned different agencies, and been fobbed off with different excuses, and that seems to be all they are, as nobody has really tried to find the source.
It appears that nobody wants to know.
Even the Lord Nelson Fishing Club, who have the fishing rights outside the Lord Nelson couldn't get it sorted out.
