AFTER completing 40 years service at work, and bringing up four sons, I am now classified as a "Senior Citizen".
Reflecting on certain events, I am beginning to wonder if a more apt classification would be "Expendable Mugs".
Recently I began to suffer with leg and back pains, so I decided to visit my local doctor's practice with the view of booking an early appointment.
The good news was -- I got my appointment.
The bad news was -- in EIGHT days time.
What kind of community have we created where this standard of medical practice is now accepted as the norm.
With due respect to the Royalty, I cannot imagine the monarchy ever having to experience such a neglectful medical consultation.
Incidentally, a couple of weeks ago my dog became unwell and needed treatment. Would you believe it, he received treatment and medication all within a couple of hours.
Who was it who once said "IT'S A DOG'S LIFE".
