IN reply to the front page article of Saturday, August 11. I was pleased that at last the BEN had something of optimism on the front page.
That children are going to benefit from illegal goods can only be good news. However, that it is termed a "novel solution" by trading standards officers offended me.
Surely they should be ashamed that they have been burning them in incinerators previously?
The pollution alone is appalling and it cost Trading Standards time and money to burn them. Well what can l say? Giving to the poor is NOT novel. It is normal human behaviour.
