SPECIALIST renovation techniques will be used when underground work starts in the Tottington Road area of Bury next week.
Beginning on Monday, the work, which is being carried out by Bury Council on behalf of United Utilities, involves the renovation of existing brick and clayware sewers in the area.
While the operations take place between Walshaw Road and Bowes Close, the specialist techniques will help to cut problems for travellers.
However, during part of the works, a section of Tottington Road will be subject to a temporary one way system. This will mean that traffic will be stopped from travelling northbound towards Tottington between Walshaw Road and Fenton Street. A local diversion route will be in operation and advanced warning of the works will be displayed in the immediate area.
