BURY have strengthened their squad with two new signings.
Greek premiership defender George Siros has been snapped up after a short trial at Gigg Lane while Manchester United youngster George Clegg has joined on a three-month loan.
And a highly satisfying weekend was completed today when assistant manager Steve Redmond signed a new contract.
Boss Andy Preece explained: "The Greek lad is a left-sided centre half and he's playing in the Premiership in Greece.
"He wanted to play in England and progress with Bury and from what we've seen he looks pretty decent and will be better than this level. I'm sure it won't be long before he's pushing for a place.
"George has signed for three months and we'll see how it goes. We're pleased to get both of them on board."
Redmond has sorted out his contract problems and put pen to paper on a new deal.
He said: "Obviously with the situation over the summer, the chairman couldn't do anything until the takeoever was more or less sorted.
"Apparently he's been told he can sign all his contracts now so I spoke to the chairman on Friday and I'm signing today."
