IN recent edition of the BEN, I noticed the small photo of Queen's Park, Bolton, and the short note from H B Bocock, Rushey Fold Lane, suggesting building a hospital there.
What a lovely and smashing idea.
But, has this person forgotten we used to have a lovely caring hospital quite nearby, which in my opinion was one of the finest in the country. I should know, after spending several spells there as an in-patient and several times as an out-patient.
Then the powers that be decided it was redundant and outdated, knocked it down so as to build expensive flats on the site.
This is called progress, but where has it led, to long waiting lists at the already over-crowded Royal Bolton Hospital (what a shambles).
