WATCH out for lane closures this weekend as Megabowl in Pilsworth, near Bury, is closing for a major £1 million refurbishment.
The doors shut at 7pm on Sunday to allow work to begin on the £24,000 project. The re-opening ceremony is planned for October 19.
The Pilsworth complex employs around 50 staff. Some will continue to work on site at a temporary sales office while the rest will work at Megabowl branches nearby.
Sales manager Ian Ratcliffe said: "Megabowl opened in Pilsworth in the late 1980s and it underwent a big refurbishment five years ago.
"We will be installing a new scoring system and the bar, reception area and the whole look of the place will change dramatically."
