A CINEMA manager is ditching the big screen for the open road and raising money for charity into the bargain.
Samantha Archibald, from Tonge Moor, who is a duty manager at UGC at Valley Centertainment, will be jumping on her bike and riding from Lands End to John O' Groats to raise money for the Blue Cross animal charity.
The plucky 27-year-old, who already has taken part in a 24-hour aerobic session and skydived to raise money for charity, hopes to complete the gruelling 1,000-mile journey in 12 days.
Samantha, who sets off tomorrow, said: "Everyone at work thinks I'm a lunatic but I enjoy cycling and like to raise money for animal charities, so this should be a real challenge."
