A CAT-lover believes her Romeo pet has been dumped.
Leanne Holmes' cat Vanilla disappeared 10 days ago. When he went missing from her home in Darwen Road, Bromley Cross, she posted 500 flyers in the Bolton area.
As a result a woman contacted her saying she had heard a man bragging about dumping a cat in Hoddlesden.
Leanne, aged 24, found the man who admitted taking the cat because he had got fed up with it entering his house through the cat flap. He said it had even made his cat pregnant.
Then last Friday another women called to say seven-year-old Vanilla had been sighted at Blacksnape, so Leanne thinks he may have moved on and is now lost. He is white with black and brown markings.
Leanne who took in Vanilla as a stray, said: "It started raining when he went missing so I just thought he was sheltering. But then I started panicking. On Saturday we got a phone call from a woman who said a man had been bragging about dumping a cat.
"When I confronted him, he admitted it. Vanilla had gone through his cat flap and it had made his cat pregnant. He got fed up with him going around all the time, so he put him in a basket and dumped him at Blacksnape. He didn't think to phone or find the owner."
Anybody with information should call Leanne on 01204 592623.
