A CORONER has said he could find no reason why a Bolton man took his own life.
An inquest was told Gareth Hall, aged 24, of Athlone Avenue, was discovered dead in his car at 3.45am on April 28.
Police were alerted to the car after a caller reported hearing an engine running for three hours.
They discovered the windows had been taped up and a hose pipe was leading into the car.
A brief note had been left beside Mr Hall's body.
Coroner Aiden Cotter said: "This is an unusual situation as there is no known reason for him to have wanted to die.
"He was not in debt, had no relationship problems, and appeared to have no real toubles to speak of.
"But evidence shows he went into the car park, taped up the windows and used the hose pipe."
He recorded a verdict the Mr Hall intended to take his own life.
