THE Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) have appointed Terry Cook to the new post of North West Regional Manager.
Forty-nine-year-old Mr Cook, from Euxton near Chorley, will be based at the ICA's regional headquarters representing 12,000 chartered accountants in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire and South Cumbria.
Formerly the Institute of Directors' Regional Director for the North West, Mr Cook said he was excited to be joining the ICA at such an important and challenging time for the profession.
"I am very much looking forward to working with members in helping to establish the profession in its rightful place at the forefront of business and the economy of the region," he said.
A new regionally-based structure has been introduced to improve services to chartered accountants working both in practice and in businesses, and to forge closer links with other agencies and professionals in the region.
