OLDER people in Bolton should make sure they are do not miss out on their £200 Winter Fuel payment this year.
Most people will get the payment automatically, but some will have to claim it.
The Department for Work and Pensions says people should check now and if necessary make a claim to ensure they get their payment before Christmas.
Last year, 47,520 payments worth a total of £7,268,900 were made to older people in Bolton to help with winter fuel bills.
People aged 60 or over and ordinarily resident in Great Britain during the week September 17-23 are eligible for a payment.
