A MAN charged following an incident during which another man received serious stab wounds is to have his case heard by the Crown Court.
Magistrates in Bury refused jurisdiction in the matter after hearing details of the case against Stephen Hough from Castlecroft Mews, Bury, who faces an allegation of affray.
He was charged after a 51-year-old man received stab wounds to his chest, stomach and right arm.
The case was adjourned until October 10 when committal to the Crown Court is expected to take place.
A second man, Eric Newsham, aged 53, from Princess Parade, Bury, has already appeared before magistrates.
He faces an identical charge and his case is also to be committed to the Crown Court for trial.
