ALL girl band La Caj had stars in their eyes when chart topper Sonique's dancer helped to choreograph their latest routine.
The group, made up of Cassie Butterworth, aged 14, her 12-year-old sister Abby, and Jane Shakeshaft, aged 14, all from Harwood, met chart topping singer Sonique and her entourage when they were guests on Blue Peter last year. They also met Robbie Williams, Steps, Martine McCutcheon and Billie Piper.
Sonique's dancer, Han, and the crew scored a real hit with the girls and promised to keep in touch. True to his word Han contacted the girls and offered to choreograph a routine for their cover of "Bright Eyes".
The girls, who got together two-and-a-half years ago, joined the star at Bolton Dance Studio in Mawdesley Street for an exciting afternoon, picking up expert tips and advice.
The girls are enjoying an action-packed summer performing at Pontins in Torquay, supporting Bolton's Elvis impersonator Mark Williamson at Bernard Manning's Embassy Club, and playing at the Holiday Inn in Manchester as part of the annual "In the City" talent showcase.
Manager Tracie Ross hopes their performance at the Holiday Inn in September may help them in their search for a record contract as former TV presenter and talent spotter Anthony Wilson has arranged for a group of music industry managers to watch a host of young performers.
She said: "It is a very exciting time for the girls. We have a very good package, a good producer, an excellent vocal trainer and now a top choreographer."
